Changes in Kågeskolan from Tuesday 10th of December

There was a fire in a part of Kågeskolan during the weekend and some of the classrooms are damaged. The school will be making some changes for the students in the weeks up until Christmas, se detailed information below.

We are also working on a solution for the start of spring semester in January.

Remote teaching for year 7 and 8 until Christmas

Year 7 and 8 will be taught remotely through Microsoft Teams from Tuesday December 10th until Christmas. Please see separate instructions in Unikum for the remote teaching.

All other students will be taught at school

Classes for all other students will be taught on site at school. We will however make some classroom changes for year 4, 5 and 6. Student in year 4, 5 and 6 should use the entrance from the courtyard normally used by year 7-9. There will be signs inside with information about rooms for each class.

Native language classes are canceled until Christmas

Due to a lack of classrooms, the native language classes will be canceled for the weeks remaining until Christmas. We are working on a solution, and will get back to you if we are able to resume native language teaching before Christmas.

Entrance and clothing storage for school-age educare (fritidshem)

From Tuesday December 10th, all school-age educare classes should use the entrance for year 1 and 2. Clothing storage will be different for each group:

• Kvarnbacken should go to the preschool class classroom and hang their clothes on chairs in the classroom.
• Smaragden students use their regular clothes hangers in the cloakroom.
• For Klubben, the following applies: Year 3 use their regular cloakrooms, years 4 and 5 use the clothing hooks outside the lunch room.
  

Smoke damaged clothing can be picked up Thursday 12th of December between 15.30 and 17.00.

Clothing left at school for preschool class and years 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 are affected by smoke. You can pick up your clothes in the school courtyard on Thursday 12th of December between 15.30 and 17.00. If you do not pick up your clothes before 17.00 on Thursday, they will be thrown away.
