Solutions for Kågeskolan students after the Christmas break
Some of the classrooms at Kågeskolan are so badly damaged after the fire on December 7 that further adjustments for the students need to be made after the Christmas break.
For most of Kågeskolan's students, teaching will take place as usual from the start of the spring term, but for some classes and groups there will be adjustments.
Years 4 and 5 will be taught at Sjungande dalens skola
From the start of the semester on Wednesday, January 8, year 4 and 5 will be temporarily taught at Sjungande dalen school. Bus transportation will be arranged and the staff from Kågeskolan will come along. School-age educare (fritidshem) will be arranged at Kågeskolan and pick-up and drop-off can take place at Kågeskolan as usual.
We hope to be able to return to Kågeskolan as soon as possible but are planning for teaching at Sjungande dalen school for all of spring semester.
There will be an open house for students and parents/caretakers at Sjungande dalen school before the start of the spring semester.
Year 6 and Kvarnbacken and Smaragden school-age educare groups will return to their regular classrooms
The classrooms for year 6 and for the Kvarnbacken and Smaragden school-age educare will be cleaned up by the start of the spring semester. However, there is still some work to be done with the ventilation, which the municipality is working on. Air quality will be ensured through regular airing out via windows.
No solution yet for woodwork classes
As the woodworking classrooms are the most damaged, no woodwork teaching will be possible at Kågeskolan for the rest of the school year. We are working on a solution for this.
