Irrigation ban in the Burträsk area

Due to a previous water leak and continued hot weather, there is a now ban on irrigation in Burträsk and the surrounding area. The municipality urges you to be restrictive with water use in general.

The levels in the water towers need to be topped up and an irrigation ban is therefore in force in the area marked in the map below. This means Burträsk proper and the surrounding villages that get water from the same water towers, including Nedre Åbyn, Mora, Bodbysund, Bodbyn and others.

The irrigation ban means that you should be generally careful with water use, and for example not water lawns, fill pools or hot tubs, or wash your car.

The irrigation ban applies until otherwise notified.
