What support is available to you?
If you are over 65 and need help to cope with day-to-day life, you are entitled to social care measures from the municipality. We will help you to find the right support based on your needs, so you can feel secure in living in your own home for as long as possible.
Measures that may be appropriate include home care services, meals on wheels, a personal safety camera or alarm, a telephone service, daily activities and short-term stays outside your home.
If the time comes that health care and home care services no longer can be satisfactorily provided in your own home, it may be appropriate to move into a nursing home.
Other support you can apply for
Other measures are also available to help you cope with day-to-day life that are not within the remit of the municipality’s Department of Health and Welfare, for example, measures for people with a disability.
- Housing adaptation
- Special transport services
- Trustee
- Home healthcare
- Technical aids
- Personal assistance
Support and assistance you can get directly
There are support services that you can order directly without applying for a decision, such as:
- free home maintenance (Fixar Malte)
- advice and support from the municipality’s vision and hearing instructor.
