The education is conducted in English.
Basic PLC programming in the tool TIA Portal, Siemens PLC.
The aim of the course is for the students to develop skills in planning and performing basic PLC programming. It should also lead to the students developing the ability to use diagrams, drawings, manuals and regulations. Students should be given the opportunity to develop the ability to detect and correct errors in programs. Furthermore, the teaching should lead to the students developing a safe and environmental way of working and the ability to document their work.
The teaching should give students the opportunity to plan tasks and work practically with the programming tool TIA Portal. The teaching should include both practical and theoretical tasks so that students are given the opportunity to understand the connection between practical work and professional theory.
The training will start subject to the necessary decisions being taken.
Eligibility
- You are eligible for adult education from July 1st of the year you turn 20. If you are younger than 20 years you are eligible to study if you have a final grade from upper secondary school, an upper secondary school diploma or a study certificate from studies in Sweden at the equivalent of upper secondary studies.
- It is important that you have the appropriate prerequisites to study at upper secondary level. You need to have a level of English equivalent to English 5.
Structure of the course
The course is conducted in English. All teacher-led teaching takes place on site in Skellefteå.
Week 1. A startup lesson via Teams and digital self-studies (not on site)
Week 2 : Teacher-led on site
Week 3 : Teacher led on site
Duration of studies
- The program is full-time and consists of 100 credits at secondary level.
- The course starts on May 12, 2025 and ends on May 30, 2025
- The program can be financed with study finance from CSN.
