The relocation back to Anderstorp
The children and staff at Granens förskola and Stackgatan 7 in Morö Backe will move to Södergård, Anderstorp in August.
Södergård has four units: two used for childcare during the day and two used for childcare during atypical hours (nights and weekends). Our preschool will move into the parts of Södergård that's not being used in the daytime by the childcare. The premises will be adapted to meet both the needs of our preschool and the needs of childcare at atypical hours.
We are also working on a solution at Anderstorp for the children at Droppens förskola, but there is no final solution on the table yet.
The intention has always been for the children who moved from Nallebjörnen to units in Morö Backe, to be able to return to Anderstorp as soon as we found a viable solution. Returning to Anderstorp will make it easier for many guardians to drop off and pick up their children, as the majority of families live in the area.
Opening a preschool at Södergård will add 40 new preschool places at Anderstorp which is beneficial for all families in the area, as these spots will eventually become available to apply to.
We will start the preschool at Södergård on 4th of August.

We have taken the different needs in the child groups into account, and have decided that the children at Granen and Stackgatan 7 will move into Södergård. We are actively working to find a solution so that the children at Droppen also can return to Anderstorp as soon as possible.
The plan is for this to be a long-term solution.
The reason this solution wasn’t available last autumn is due to several factors:
- Södergård currently have fewer children enrolled than last autumn, which frees up capacity in the facilities.
- At the turn of the year, the number of children at Nallebjörnen corresponded to four departments. Södergård has space for children equivalent to two departments (40 places). Since the move, Nallebjörnen’s child groups have become smaller in size, and will become even smaller when the five-year-olds move on to preschool class in August.
This means that we can now match the available spaces at Södergård with child groups from Nallebjörnen.
Yes. As soon as the preschool at Södergård is up and running in August, applications will be open for everyone.
Södergård’s childcare will continue as usual without any major changes. The staff and children who are currently at Södergård during daytime will, with the preschool moving in, have the opportunity to get to know and collaborate with new teachers and children. For example during outdoor play in the day.
Yes. The solution at Södergård has no impact on the construction plans for a new preschool in the area. Plans are still ongoing for a new preschool at Anderstorp with at least 4 units. It is expected to be completed by the turn of the year 2026/2027.
As a guardian, you have the right to apply for a place at any preschool in Skellefteå Municipality. If you submit an application for a different preschool, your application will be processed according to the same criteria as other applications. This means that the processing time can take up to four months before you receive a placement notification. Skellefteå Municipality cannot guarantee that you will receive a different placement. A new preschool placement is offered based on current regulations and availability.
