If the instrument you want to play is not available at your school, you can apply to play at Kulturskolan in your free time. As a beginner, you can rent an instrument at a cost of SEK 350 per semester. Guitar, electric bass, piano and drums you have to keep yourself.

It is a great advantage to be able to play guitar or piano to accompany your own singing. Therefore, we recommend that you initially choose what we call
"Song with Piano" or "Song with Guitar".

From Year 6 onwards, you can choose to sing only, in which case the subject is simply called "Singing".

Song and Game is unique to Skellefteå Kulturskola. In Song and Game you play in a group on one of the instruments available at the school, such as keyboard, xylophone, guitar, electric bass, drums or similar.

You get one lesson a week in connection with your school time or at Kulturskolan. If you want to play and sing together with others, Sång och Spel is right for you!
