Lookout tower

A unique landmark in Wasteland, created by the Oslo School of Architecture and Design.

The lookout tower is a place for views, meetings and experiences. It connects WasteLand with the cultural life of the city.

The round tower is built from heart pine and frames an open space in the forest. At ground level, there is room for gatherings, storytelling, theatre, exhibitions and other activities.

Despite its low height, the lookout tower offers views of the forest, the river and life in the park. At the same time, it bears witness to the passing of time. As the trees grow and change, the view from the tower will change with them.

In this way, the lookout tower becomes a place where nature, people and landscape meet over time.
