600 more homes planned for Sunnanå

To the west of Nyckelgatan, a new residential area based on the children's perspective will emerge. There will be more than 600 new homes, with closeness to the nature, space to play and socialize.

The Backen residential area is located on the northern slope of Rösberget, south of Lantmannagatan and between Falkträsket's preschool and the Nyckelgatan residential area. The plan is to build three- to five-story apartment buildings and two-story townhouses.

The homes will be grouped with nature and parkland in between, creating places for spontaneous activities and meetings to promote a sense of community. An important piece of the puzzle to achieve social sustainability.

The major focus of the area will be on how kids use it, and the area will be linked to the school area and the forest. An adventure forest for play will also be developed.

It will be important to keep important green corridors so that residents in the surrounding area can continue to use the forest on Rösberget for exercise and recreation.
