Finally, it's time for a high-quality tribute to the legendary rocker Eddie Meduza, or Errol Norstedt as he was actually named. Eddie Meduza has attained cult status since his death in 2002 and is deeply cherished by thousands of fans across the country. Now, it's time for one of Eddie's biggest fans, Ralf Gyllenhammar from the band Mustasch, to step in as the frontman of the show.
Errol Norstedt had a multifaceted personality and has been called a musical genius by many. In "The Eddie Meduza Story," the audience will follow his entire journey from a bullied and rootless twelve-year-old, who had already lived in about thirty different places, to life as a celebrated rock star who set audience records and achieved great success on the charts while grappling with personal issues.
Eddie Meduza was an artist who was often misunderstood. Many did not grasp his irony and that his lyrics were written with a twinkle in his eye. It has taken time, but now Errol Norstedt has finally received well-deserved recognition, transitioning from being reviled by representatives of high culture to now being greatly celebrated.
Errol's songs have been recorded in various versions by many other artists, including some of Sweden's biggest dance bands like Lasse Stefanz.
"The Eddie Meduza Story – Dåren ä lös" is a completely wild show and at the same time a loving tribute to one of our greatest artists. The show will swing between laughter and tears. At its core are nearly thirty of Eddie's most beloved and hated songs, including "Gasen i botten," "Reaktorn läck i Barsebäck," "Ragga runt," "Midsommarnatt," "Volvo," "Punkdjävlar," and many more.
