It is said that we are born as blank pages, but is that really true? Some roles we are born into, some come from other people's expectations of us and others we choose ourselves throughout life. Which of the roles can we change and who do you really become?
Through classrooms, dressing rooms and boys' rooms, in this monologue performance we get to follow Kim's own story, which takes us from a stand at the first Bajjen match with dad safely next to it, to a team in Colombia where you play to survive, past Luleå and how it really came to be said that IFK Göteborg called...
Through football, Kim has experienced some of life's best and worst moments.
"Football has meant a colossal amount to me growing up! Something I am incredibly happy about. But at the same time it is not a spotless or problem-free period.
The thoughts I wrestled with or the experiences that I was faced with, I do not believe that individual phenomena arose out of a vacuum. On the contrary, I think many people can recognize themselves, more or less.
So today being able to transform my story into a performance that takes up and deals with a topic that I think is super important to talk about feels very exciting and meaningful."
After the performance, the audience is invited to an educational follow-up which addresses topics such as: identity, norms, pressure, community and mood.
