This year's Swedish Artisan Food Award will be held on October 9–10 in Skellefteå - a celebration for food artisans, producers and visitors.
The competition is an opportunity for artisan food producers to meet and exchange experiences, as well as to refine their products and get them into new markets.
The 2025 Swedish Artisan Food Award will take place at Sara Kulturhus and at the same time the Mandels matmarknad will be organized – a party for food artisans, producers and visitors. Here, visitors are given the chance to taste and buy locally produced products and participate in activities that promote the food artisans and their importance for the local and national food supply. More activities will be organized in and around Skellefteå in connection with the event. By organizing the SM in Skellefteå, we want to highlight local producers and strengthen their opportunities for growth.
The competition is a so-called open SM, which means that artisan food companies from all over the Nordic region can compete with their products. Around 500 entries from artisan food companies throughout the country usually participate in the Artisan Food Awards. They are judged by knowledgeable and interested jury groups in approximately 50 different classes divided into the categories of dairy, bakery, charcuterie, craft drinks, fish processing and berry, fruit and vegetable processing. Registration for the competition
