On Sunday, March 16, the Ursviksnappet will take place—an ice fishing competition organized by Skellefteå Sport Fishing Club.
The competition starts from Ursviken Technology AB at Kanotudden.
Fishing time is between 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Bring the juniors out on the ice and let them try the northern "national sport" of ice fishing! It is allowed to help juniors with drilling holes, baiting, and handling the fish.
All junior participants will receive a complete professional ice fishing set (competition rod with line, lure, and hook) after paying the entry fee.
ALL juniors in the competition will receive a prize afterward. (Remember to return the entry card even if the child did not catch any fish.)

The competition is divided into three categories: Junior, Women, and Open.

  • Junior Class: For participants up to 15 years old (born in 2010 or later). Fishing time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
  • Open Class & Women’s Class: Fishing time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM (3 hours).

Electric or motorized ice augers are allowed for all participants.
Entry onto the ice begins at 10:30 AM.
All fish count except salmon and trout.
Any fish caught must be immediately handled.

Great prizes in all categories!

After the fish has been weighed, around 2:30 PM, those interested can collect bait fish, catfish, or food fish on-site.
Entry cards for the competition are sold on-site before the start.

Entry fee:

150 SEK per participant in Open & Women’s Class (Swish payment or exact cash if needed).
50 SEK per participant in Junior Class.
