For seven Tuesdays this summer, Skellefteå Museum is opening the door to Chamber 304 in historic Bonnstan. Drop in and meet one of our friendly museum hosts – they'll be happy to tell you more about the chamber and the unique history of Bonnstan.
Dating back to the 1600s, Bonnstan once served as overnight lodging for churchgoers who lived far outside town. It was a place where people met up with family and friends from nearby villages – and there are plenty of stories about young men strolling through Bonnstan on weekend nights, hoping to find love.
Curious to learn more? Come by, ask questions, and enjoy a bit of local history!
On the same Tuesdays, you can also join a guided walk through the cultural heritage of the Nordanå area. We start at 1:00 PM at the museum’s main entrance and walk together to Bonnstan. It’s free and no registration is needed (Note! In swedish)
