We decided to make some changes for Nordsken 2023 with the date and place. We also wanted to make Nordsken more included for everyone – we are making the event free for 2023!
Welcome to Sara Kulturhus in Skellefteå, 28-29 December.
Welcome to Nordsken WINTER during the days between Christmas and New Year, on December 28-29 at SARA Kulturhus. Nordsken will fill the building and stages with activities, lectures, and workshops. Just like last year, admission will be free.
This year, Nordsken is focusing on expanding the program with lectures, hands-on activities, and workshops centered on creativity and creation. Nordsken is unique—no one else combines different forms of culture the way we do.
The first edition of Nordsken was organized in the spring of 2012 at the Scandic in Skellefteå. In the beginning, it was a relatively small event based on a LAN created by Dreamhack—but we expanded the concept to also include analog games (board, miniature, and card games) and popular culture (film, series, theater, live-action role play, etc.). We’ve always had big ambitions, and over time, the event has grown into a place that even renowned international actors see as an important destination. As the event evolved, different venues were needed, which is why we first moved to Skellefteå Kraft Arena and now to the newly built Sara Kulturhus, in the heart of Skellefteå.
At Nordsken, visitors will find a wide range of activities and exhibitors. Here, you can hang out with Star Wars characters, buy homemade candy or nerdy merchandise, play board games or 8-bit video games with friends, grab a coffee, watch locally produced short films, show off your Cosplay outfit, participate in live-action role-playing games, craft, paint game miniatures, see LEGO constructions, play pinball and arcade games, and more.

Good to know before your visit:
Age limit: None
Bag policy: Bags are not allowed in the area, but you can leave your bag in the cloakroom.
Cloakroom: Mandatory for both bags and jackets. The cloakroom is located near the event area.
Food and drink: Not permitted within the area.
Elevator: Available at stairwell B, on the left side.
