Different types of forklifts are used today in a variety of workplaces. To operate a forklift at a workplace, you need documented practical and theoretical knowledge as well as an approval from your employer.
During the course Interna transporter, you will gain theoretical knowledge and opportunity to practice the use of different forklifts. This gives you the chance to develop your ability to drive forklifts in a safe and efficient way.
In the course, you have the opportunity to take the theoretical and practical tests required for forklifts A1-A4 and B1 to B3.

Formal qualifications
- You are eligible for adult education from July 1st of the year you turn 20. If you are younger than 20 years you are eligible to study if you have a final grade from upper secondary school, an upper secondary school diploma or a study certificate from studies in Sweden at the equivalent of upper studies.
- It is important that you have the appropriate prerequisites to study at upper secondary level. You need to have a passing grade in English 5 or a passing grade in a course on an equivalent level from a different country or you need to have completed your studies in Swedish at lower secondary lever/primary school level.
If you do not have a grade at the corresponding level specified above, it is possible to prove your language skills through a level test, read more at Nivåbedömning and follow the instructions. The structure of the course
The training is conducted in English or Swedish. Tutoring is available in English and Swedish. Theoretical material is available in English or Swedish.
At the start of the course, we will have an introduction lecture. You can participate on site on Campus or online over Teams. Self-studies is a part of the education and is conducted during the first week.
The practical parts start week two of the course. It is conducted at Hammarängen in Skellefteå. During the study period you will have the practical parts at Hammarängen in Skellefteå. You need to be able to study at site 08.00-15:00 Monday to Friday (you will not have a formal schedule).
Start and stop date for the course
- The course is part time, study pace 75 percent, and consists of 50 credits at upper secondary level
- The course starts 28 April 2025 and ends 16 May 2025
- Please observe! The course be financed with study grants and loans from CSN, part time level 75 percent if you meet the other conditions for student grants and loans from CSN.
Own costs for the course
At the start of the education, you will pay SEK 3200 for access to the equipment and licenses needed for the training.

For vocational courses and educations, there is an opportunity in 2025 to apply from another municipality of residence without IKE.
The admission process
The admission process starts when the application period is completed. An admission process is expected to last up to three weeks. Acceptance letters are sent by e-mail. It is important that you provide the correct e-mail address and phone number in your application.
