Call 1177 if you are ill and wish to speak to a nurse for advice. The helpline is free of charge. The nurses speak Swedish and English. They can also help you to find the nearest healthcare centre.

Skellefteå Municipality deals with many things for the benefit of the people who live here. What is the municipality doing for newly arrived refugees?
Skellefteå Municipality’s responsibility for newly arrived refugees is mainly to make sure that children can attend preschool and school and that the children live in a safe and healthy environment.
We can set up evacuation housing at the request of the Swedish Migration Agency. In that case, we provide food and necessary service, until you find a place to stay or are offered housing by the Swedish Migration Agency.
