Skellefteå municipality tries to advertise all available plots on this site as much as possible. (Please note that no plots for private villas are advertised there.) It is free for property owners to advertise on Objektvision so we encourage everyone to use this service. Depending on the type of premises, it may also be worth checking for adverts on Blocket or various Facebook pages.

Skellefteå has a good infrastructure that connects the municipality with the world. Skellefteå airport External link. has several daily departures to Stockholm (flight time about 1 hour) and from there further out into the world. There are currently several operators on this route. Soon a direct line to Gdansk will be launched and there are also several charter options with direct flights to various popular tourist destinations. Umeå, Luleå and Arvidsjaur airports are also within 2 hours. The E4 passes through the city and is the main road along the coast. Road 95 runs from Skellefteå to Bodö in Norway. Norrbotniabanan External link. is a planned railway between Umeå and Luleå with an extension north to Haparanda. The route can be seen as a northern extension of the existing Botniabanan. The government has made a final decision on the national transport plan for the next ten years. This means that the first phase of the Norrbotnia line between Umeå and Skellefteå will be built in one go.

MUNICIPAL ADULT EDUCATION FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO GAIN QUALIFICATIONS

Municipal adult education, VUX, is based at Campus Skellefteå. Within VUX you can study basic primary and secondary school courses and Swedish for immigrants, SFI. There is also special education for adults and education for those with dyslexia.

FOLKHÖGSKOLA

There are three folk high schools in the municipality of Skellefteå. Medlefors is just west of the city centre, Edelvik in Burträsk and Solvik in Frostkåge. You can study at a folk high school if you are 18 years or older. The folk high school provides flexible study opportunities for adult students. The schools normally give preference to older people and applicants with little previous schooling. Participants with disabilities, immigrants and the unemployed are other priority groups.

Yes. In autumn 2019, the International English School opened a primary school F-9. There will also be an international secondary school in Skellefteå in autumn 2022. The first application period will be between 11/1 - 10/2 2022. More information will follow.
