Region Västerbotten
To promote sustainable investments, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises, that strengthen competitiveness, create long-term profitability and create lasting jobs.

Offers e.g. micro-support given to start-ups, for marketing, investment in machinery or product development. The aid is 50% of the investment, up to a maximum of SEK 30 000.

There is also special investment aid for hard and soft investments, e.g. buildings, machinery, inventory, marketing. The aid amounts to between 25% and 50% of the investment, in Jörn 50% and can be a maximum of 200 000 Euro over a 3-year period.

County Administrative Board
Offers support for investments that promote the development of businesses and contribute to new jobs in rural areas.

The New Jobs in Rural Areas grant is given for initiatives that increase employment in the company through, for example, a new plant or new fixed equipment. The aid amounts to up to 40% of the investment, but the aid amount must be at least SEK 100 000. The maximum amount of aid granted is EUR 200 000 over a 3-year period.

Tillväxtverket is to promote development in all parts of the country and work to exploit the growth potential that exists in everything from rural areas to large cities. Tillväxtverket decides on transport grants and regional investment aid, among other things.

"Start your own business grant" - support for starting a business
The Arbetsförmedlingen's administrators grant "Start your own grant". The grant enables you to make a living during the start-up phase of your business.

Sammes Foundation
A donation from the entrepreneur Samme Lindmark and his wife Maud in 2007 made it possible to set up the Sammes Foundation. Samme wanted to support young Skellefteå citizens' interest in entrepreneurship. Scholarships are awarded in the categories Idea Scholarship, Development Scholarship, Business Scholarship and Summer Entrepreneur.
