Search for books
Search for books at all libraries in Sweden: Libris External link, opens in new window.
The Campus Library shares a catalog with Luleå University of Technology, giving you access to collections in Skellefteå, Luleå, and Piteå. When searching, simply check the "Location" field to ensure the book is available at your preferred campus.
LTU Students: You also have full access to all e-books and articles through the library’s digital resources.
Books available at the Campus Library cannot be reserved. Instead, do the following:
- Search for the book.
- Is the book "Available" in Skellefteå?
- Pick it up from the shelf and borrow it at our self-service checkout during our opening hours or during extended hours if you have an access card. - Is the book checked out—or available only in Luleå or Piteå?
- Reserve it by clicking on "Access options" --> "Find or Reserve" --> "Reserve." You will receive an email notification with information when the book is ready to be picked up.

If a book required for your studies, research, or teaching isn’t available at the Campus Library or other libraries in Skellefteå, we are here to help. Send us your request, and we will determine the best way to get it to you, either by purchasing it for our collection or requesting an interlibrary loan from another library in Sweden.
Before you request:
- Check Skellefteå first: Ensure the book isn't already available at the Campus Library or the City Library.
- Is it just checked out? If our copy is currently on loan, please place a hold (reserve it) instead of submitting a new request.
- Have an account: You must have an active library account at the Campus Library to use this service.
Databases
We have compiled a list of databases to support your studies. Many of these are Open Access, meaning they are free for anyone to use without a login.
To access databases that are not open, you need to go through your university library’s website and log in with your student ID. If you are not a student, you can still use these databases when you are at the Campus Library and connected to the LTU network.
