Welcome House will be there at three events during Society Expo 2026. Come meet people, discover new places, and experience what’s happening right now. Welcome to the Skellefteå community.
Here, you’ll have the opportunity to meet other newcomers, make new friends, connect with local associations and companies, and discover everything Skellefteå has to offer. Bring your family and friends, come as you are – and let’s explore Skellefteå together!
Free admission
Our events are completely free, but you need to bring the invitation you received in your mailbox, as it serves as your ticket. Invitations have been sent to those who have registered as residents in Skellefteå within the past 1.5 years. Haven’t received an invitation? Contact us at relocation@skelleftea.se and we’ll help you.
You’re warmly welcome to come and go as you please during the day
– the area is open from 10:00 to 16:00.
Family Saturday in Kurjoviken
Date: May 30
Time: 10:00–16:00
A day for all ages with activities, fika, and pony rides. Buses will run to and from the area, so take the opportunity to discover more of life by the water. We’ll provide activities, fika, and pony rides. You’ll also receive a gift to pick up (while supplies last). Remember to bring your ticket!

Association Day at Nordanå
Date: June 7
Time: 11:00–16:00
Meet a wide range of associations and fellow Skellefteå residents in an area buzzing with life during Society Expo. We offer activities and fika (while supplies last). Remember to bring your ticket!
Getting to Nordanå: We encourage you to walk or cycle.
Nordanå is a green and beautiful area with culture, play spaces, and room for social gatherings. It’s located just a 10-minute walk from the city centre.

Skellefteå After Work
Date: May 29
Time: 16:30–18:00
A relaxed after-work gathering in the city centre by the riverside, together with Visit Skellefteå and Expats & Friends Association – a network for both new and established Skellefteå residents. Bring your friends and join us. Come as a guest, leave as a friend.
