NuEVI

The instrument NuEvi has a unique appearance and an even more unique sound. Invented by Johan Berglund from Skellefteå, this electronic instrument is a reinterpretation based on the American Nyle Steiner's MIDI EVI.

Jörnkängan

The elusive Jörnkängan is as popular as it is hard to find. Manufactured about 50 kilometers northwest of Skellefteå, it is one of the region's most famous handmade shoes – but not the only one. Skråmträsk shoe is another popular shoe from the Skellefteå area.

Kraftstaven

Grab the "Kraftstaven" Power Pole for better support and increased performance! Originally launched for skiing, the pole is now optimized for activities such as mountain hiking. Its long and uniquely shaped grip provides enhanced support and activates different muscle groups.

What do they put in the water in Burträsk?

Several of Skellefteås most famous inventors come from here. Not least the legendary Alvar Lindmark. Best known for the industrial elevator and the company Alimak, but he has many unique inventions under his belt. For example, a shower cabin combined with a solarium.

From Burträsk also comes Kjell Lindskog, who has been responsible for many inventions over the years. From the foldable slalom pole to the security bag SQS used for cash transportations.

Whitebox

The idea was born during the pandemic and is exactly the kind of invention that makes you think, "Why hasn't this existed before?" The concept is based on boxes that kill bacteria and viruses using UV rays. They are used for various purposes, including shopping carts.

What's a Skellefteå kitchen without a range hood from Futurum? The factory is located thirty kilometers north of Skellefteå in the coastal village of Byske.
