15 things we hope you didn't miss!

One thing we already know for sure. Society Expo 2026 was something Skellefteå had never experienced before. Over the course of two weeks, hundreds of different activities and events took place, ranging from entertainment and inspiration to new insights into what the Skellefteå of the future might look like.

Here are some of the activities that were offered!

Pre-party
May 14-16 maj, Guldtorget and Nordanå
Society Expo 2026 is kicking things off early with a fun-filled family pre-party! There will be everything from bounce houses and Peppes Minitivoli to the chance to meet Bluey and Bingo. Plus, the Northern Lights display will be taking place. Read more in the program!

Society Expo Opening Ceremony
May 28, Sara kulturhus and Saraplatsen
The official opening ceremony will kick off Society Expo 2026. Carola, Pär Wiksten, and Sweden’s oldest DJ, DJ Gloria, will take the stage! There will also be an educational program featuring Nordea’s Chief Economist Annika Winsth, researcher Kjell A Nordström, and H&M’s former CEO Helena Helmersson. And much more!
