Event Guide
Accessibility
Accessibility is a key component of Society Expo 2026. Our goal is to create an inclusive experience in which as many people as possible can participate, regardless of their circumstances. By addressing the physical, communicative, and social aspects of accessibility, we aim to make it easier for everyone to enjoy the event.

Each event area has been adapted to suit its specific conditions. Please note that audio description is not available at all events.
Guldtorget and the City Center
Accessible restrooms are located near Guldtorget in Sara Kulturhus (Level 1) and the City Kompaniet shopping mall (Level 3). The building has an elevator. We refer you to parking options throughout central Skellefteå. Most activities take place at ground level, which makes it easy to get around.

Nordanå
Most activities at Nordanå take place outdoors. The area is relatively flat with gravel paths, making it easy to move around. Accessible restrooms are available in both the Exploratorium and the main building. Restaurant Nordanågården and the main building have ramps at the entrances, and parking is available nearby. Inside Skellefteå Museum, an elevator provides access to the Society Expo Exhibition.
Campus
Campus Skellefteå offers several accessibility adaptations to support your visit. Accessible parking is available close to the entrance, including spaces in the parking garage. There is also a drop-off point directly outside the building. An elevator leads to the lecture hall, and accessible restrooms are available nearby. Please note that the elevator is not adapted for larger outdoor wheelchairs.
Kurjoviken
All activities in Kurjoviken take place at ground level. Accessible restrooms with ramps are available, and accessible parking is located close to the area.
Skellefteå Airport
Accessible parking is available directly outside the entrance, and accessible restrooms are located on site. The fenced exhibition area, where exhibitors and aircraft are displayed, is accessible for wheelchair users. Please note that some parts of the area may be more difficult to navigate due to uneven or softer ground surfaces.
Droneport
Droneport offers accessible restrooms and accessible parking close to the area, including one designated accessible parking space. Most areas are easy to access, and additional parking options may be available if needed.
Wasteland
Accessible parking is available near the park, along with changing rooms, restrooms and sauna facilities. Parts of the park are accessible, although some surfaces consist of bark, which may make certain areas more challenging to navigate.
