Linn's photos bring Society Expo to life.

Linn Wennberg, 21, who grew up in Moröbacke in Skellefteå, is currently studying architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. After two years in the program, she is enjoying herself, and although she appreciates the capital, she sees herself moving back north in the future.

- It doesn't feel like two years have passed. Rather, it feels like "oh, how quickly time passes - what have I actually managed to do?", says Linn with a laugh.

This summer she is working with Society Expo 2026 to visualize the main sites for the big event on 27 May-9 June. Using Rhino software and the rendering tool D5 Render, Linn is creating high-quality images that bring the future main sites of Society Expo 2026 to life.

Linn's work is made possible by a grant from the Samme Foundation - something that initially started as a tip from her sister's boyfriend and later became a reality.

- "What's fun about this project is that I get the opportunity to practice and at the same time be part of something big that actually becomes reality later. You don't always have that opportunity when you study," says Linn.

Faith in the future of Skellefteå

The work is done in close collaboration with Society Expo's set designer Åse Persson, and Linn looks forward to continuing to develop - both in the work with SE26, during her time at KTH and further on.

- I like Stockholm, it feels like a nice big city that has a lot. But I still think I'll move back home in the future," says Linn with a smile.

Linn emphasizes that time passes quickly - but that this may be a sign that she is happy with her choice of education. Even after graduation, she hopes to deepen her skills, and she believes that Skellefteå is a city that can offer just that.
