Thank you to everyone who attended today's partner meeting
Today, October 22, our partners gathered at The Great Northern for an inspiring day about the future, collaboration and next steps in planning Society Expo 2026.
Together, we reviewed where we are now in the implementation planning, and how we can continue to create value and participation for next year's big event.
We would like to extend a warm thank you to everyone who participated.
During the partner meeting, Eva Lundqvist from Norrbotniabanegruppen talked about the plans for Tågets dag on 30 May 2026, a public and family-friendly event that will be arranged in close connection with Sara kulturhus in Skellefteå.
Tågets dag will be a meeting place where people, ideas and future issues meet with a focus on how Norrbotniabanan contributes to development, sustainability and new opportunities. Behind the event is the Norrbotniabanegruppen together with the Swedish Transport Administration, Skellefteå municipality and Norrtåg. During the day, there will be activities and experiences for the whole family that highlight the future of travel in an inspiring and playful way.
Åsa Israelson, Social Services, Skellefteå Municipality, highlighted Society Expo's relevance to the welfare mission and the importance of an inclusive society where everyone can contribute based on their ability.
Solkraft is building Society Expo's exhibition stands, and the social office is planning "People and health in focus", a two-day program at Nordanå on 28-29 May 2026. Here, both professionals and residents will meet to highlight the future of skills provision and social sustainability.

Partnermeetup at The Great Northen
Martin Svensson, Länsförsäkringar Västerbotten, presented the theme "Health in focus", two parallel tracks that highlight both community preparedness and individual safety.
The first is about how we can equip communities to deal with natural damage and natural disasters, with the target group being decision-makers, emergency services, property owners and other community actors who work with preparedness and planning.
The second track focuses on digital safety - a crime prevention initiative for children, young people and parents, where children meet online safety hosts in collaboration with Save the Children and game developers in Västerbotten. The initiative has already led to new contacts and possible collaborations with the FRIS group and RF-SISU Västerbotten.

Håkan Billing, AIK Hockey
Håkan Billing, Commercial Director of AIK Hockey, spoke about the club's work on social sustainability - where the association sees its role as more than sport.
AIK's initiative Byggdens hjärta (The Heart of the Building) is about creating a viable club life and strengthening the mental health of children and young people through training of leaders, open discussions and preventive work.
During SE26, AIK wants to show how an elite association can contribute to social benefit, with activities that promote movement, play and community - both on the ice and off it.
Together with other associations and stakeholders, they are planning events at Nordanå where children, young people and families will have the opportunity to take part in trial activities, games and discussions about well-being and community.
The day once again showed how much power there is in the collaboration between business, the public sector and civil society. Among the participants were representatives from Länsförsäkringar Västerbotten, Skellefteå Municipality, Region Västerbotten, AIK Hockey, Skellefteå Kraft, Contractor, NCC, IVL, RISE, the Church of Sweden, Urkraft, Exploratoriet, Martinsons and Skanska, along with several other organizations and companies that contribute to Society Expo 2026.
Together we will continue to build what Society Expo is all about - meetings between people, ideas and future solutions. Thank you to all partners who participated, we look forward to the next steps, together.
The next partner meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 13:00-15:30, in the Great Northern's Pansalen.
#Meet people. Fixing the future.
