New exhibition being built at Skellefteå Museum – SE26 Exhibition

Skellefteå Municipality, together with Skellefteå Museum and Skellefteå Kraft, will open SE26 Exhibition on May 27, 2026. The exhibition highlights Skellefteå's social transformation and will be a central part of Society Expo 2026 (SE26).

The exhibition is located on the second floor of Skellefteå Museum in Nordanå and weaves together Skellefteå's history, present, and future in an interactive experience. Through stories, environments, and participatory elements, it highlights the power of innovation, collaboration, and human energy as driving forces in social transformation.

The focus is on how Skellefteå's development has grown out of people's willingness to try new things and work together – a driving force that has shaped the place both historically and today. Visitors are invited to participate actively and become co-creators in the exhibition, which provides an in-depth and engaging insight into how sustainable social development can be understood and experienced.
