Discover Society Expo
with Hittaut

During Society Expo 2026, Hittaut gave visitors and Skellefteå residents the opportunity to experience the expo grounds and the city in an active and engaging way. Through a specially designed map featuring ten selected locations linked to the event, Hittaut became a way to combine physical activity, the joy of discovery, and community development.

Hittaut is a free wellness activity in which participants use a map or mobile app to locate selected checkpoints in their surroundings. The activity encourages people to get moving, discover new places, and explore their local area on their own or with others.

Ahead of Society Expo, a special map was created featuring ten checkpoints linked to the event’s various locations. Participants were able to move between areas such as the city center, Nordanå, and Kurjoviken while discovering more parts of the city than they might otherwise have visited.

Through Hittaut, participants had the opportunity to explore more parts of Skellefteå while also experiencing the venues that were part of Society Expo.
