SEE Future – creating the future together with young people

SEE Future gives children and young people in Skellefteå the opportunity to shape society through conversation, ideas, and joint projects. Through meetings, dialogue, and participation, the project builds optimism for the future and strengthens commitment to the development of society.

SEE Future is about giving children and students an active voice in issues that affect their everyday lives and future. The project brings together young people from preschool, elementary school, and high school and invites them to participate in dialogues, challenges, and creative assignments. By linking school learning to real-world social challenges, young people are given the opportunity to influence, think in new ways, and contribute their ideas.

The aim is to strengthen young people's participation, responsibility, and influence over their surroundings, while giving them the opportunity to develop their skills and find meaning in how Skellefteå is changing. The project wants to show that young people are not only the future, they are co-creators of it.

In the long term, SEE Future wants to establish a sustainable model for youth participation and social engagement in Skellefteå. The goal is for all children and young people to feel that their opinions matter, that they have a place to express themselves, and that they can make a difference. The project aims to contribute to a society where young people feel involved, responsible, and proud.

Through SEE Future, Skellefteå hopes to strengthen its democracy and skills supply, stimulate creativity and innovation, and give young people the tools to shape their own future in the place where they live.
