During previous years' Society Summit in Skellefteå, a number of exciting cases have been presented - innovative solutions, successful collaborations and innovative initiatives that have inspired development. Here you can take part of cases from previous years.

Adult learning as a tool for growth

Business start-ups and expansions in northern Sweden mean that locally defined labor markets will increase by almost 40 percent in a few years. One of the main challenges is to provide skills in a rapidly changing labor market.

In the context of rapid societal growth and expansion, a flexible education system is needed that, in close dialog with stakeholders, can respond quickly and forcefully to skills challenges. Today's education and training system is highly diversified, which can create unnecessary lock-in between different levels and actors.

The content is based on two main questions:

• How can the education system interact better than today across SeQF levels to meet demands linked to rapid expansion?
• How can adult education be used more effectively as a toolbox in a growing society?

Economic crime in rapid social expansion

SEK 1 000 billion will be invested in northern Sweden in the coming years. One assumption is that about 2 percent of the investment capital will end up in the hands of economic crime. Until now, northern Sweden has had a relatively low rate of establishment of this type of crime, but now needs to equip itself for a new situation.

Today, there are established tools and methods to counteract the development of crime. Research and experience show that there are great opportunities to strategically counteract the influence of economic crime by acting at an early stage.

The content is based on the following key questions:

• How can we reduce the impact of financial crime linked to large investments outside metropolitan areas
• The role and responsibilities of municipalities
• How can enhanced cooperation between authorities at an early stage help to reduce the establishment of economic crime
• Which authorities should cooperate to meet an investment linked to northern Sweden's growth
