We are building new cabins!
During 2024 and 2025, we are building 18 new cabins in the southeastern part of our camping area. This is to meet the growing demand for both guest nights and housing in Skellefteå municipality.
The new cabins will resemble the cabins Strandvilla at Byske Havsbad, like the one in the picture. Our new cabins will have a dark brown facade with an outdoor seating area. All cabins will have two bedrooms, a bathroom with a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. Two of the cabins are adapted for disabled access.
To facilitate the construction process, we have created a new entrance to the construction area. This may cause some disturbance in the limited area during daytime between approximately 7:00 and 17:00.
We thank you for your understanding during this time and we hope you are as excited as we are about this new area in our camping site.
The construction area is marked in yellow on the map to clearly show where the cabins will be built at Skellefteå Camping.

Proof of identity is required at check-in. Passport or ID card are acceptable forms of identification.

Guests who check out after these times are required to pay an extra day fee.
The campsite has six service buildings that have everything you could possibly need for a convenient holiday! Our service buildings has showers, saunas and accessible shower room with WC. There is family rooms with TV and even a dog shower.
For a small fee you can also use our washing machines, tumble dryers or why not rent spend your money on something more fun, like a couple of hours in one of our private saunas!
SCRs rules and regulations apply. These can be found on the information board at reception. Our staff have the right to ask guests who fail to observe the rules and regulations to leave the site.
Entry and exit for Caravans
The caravan pitches are only intended for checked-in guests. Any visitors should park in the visitors’ car park off site. Vehicle traffic is only permitted at walking pace when entering and leaving the site.
Parking of caravans
You can only park your caravan on the allocated pitch. For fire and safety reasons, there must be a distance of at least 2 m between the unit and the pitch boundaries, and at least 4 m to the next unit. We reserve the right to move your unit if these instructions are ignored. Each pitch is for 1 caravan + 1 car, other vehicles should be parked in the visitors’ car park off site. The roads around the campsite must be kept clear at all times to allow passage for emergency vehicles. The caravan tow bar must be facing the road.
Quiet time
Campsite quiet hours are between 23.00 and 08.00. Vehicle traffic is also banned on the site at this time.
Charging of electric cars
It is prohibited to charge electric cars in the camping area.
Therefore, we kindly ask those who have electric cars to charge them at the actual charging station. If this is not respected, the person responsible for the booking will be charged 3000 SEK per day.
Fire extinguisher
Fire extinguisher are located all throughout the camping area. See the map.
Medical care
First aid kits are available at café, the outdoor pool and the reception. A defibrillator is available at the reception and the outdoor pool .
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in all our cabins/rooms/service buildings. If smoking has occured guest will be charged a fee from 4000 SEK. Smoking is also prohibited to public places such as entrances, playgrounds, café and the outdoor swimming pool.
Animals
Dogs and other animals must be kept on a leash and not left unattended. They should be walked outside the camping area, and for everyone's comfort, please pick up after your dog.
Barbecues
Barbecuing with firewood is allowed at designated barbeque areas. If you wish to use our other barbeque areas, only charcoal is permitted. Charcoal bins are placed at the recycling stations; ensure no embers are left due to the fire risk.
Disposable grills are prohibited in the camping area.
Barbeques are available for rent at the reception.
Gas/charcoal barbeques standing on legs are permitted on camping/tent sites.
If you are staying in a cabin, ensure the barbeques is placed on asphalt and not on the porch. Also, keep doors and windows closed while barbecuing to avoid smoke entering the cabin. Be aware if Skellefteå Municipality/Rescue Service has issued a fire ban.
Night-time Security Guard
In the high season there is a night-time security guard on duty from 22:00-08:00. If you need to contact the security guard after the reception has closed, please call +46 (0)10-222 28 81.
In case of an urgent need for assistance with your accommodation during the off-season, you can reach us at phone number 0910 – 108 03. Your call will be directed to SOS Alarm.
In case of emergency
In case of an emergency, contact the ambulance, police, or fire department through SOS Alarm at phone number: 112.
Recycling station
Recycling stations are located close to Service Building 3 and Service Building 6. Special containers are available for cardboard, colored and clear glass, garden waste, newspapers, batteries, and charcoal.
Bulky waste
Bulky waste such as furniture, garden tools, toys, barbecues, etc. must not be left on the campsite. It is referred to the recycling center located 4 km north of Skellefteå Camping at Solbacken.
Emptying waste tanks
Black water dump station is located next to service building 3.
Toilet cassette dump station is available in service buildings 2, 3, and 6.
Car wash
Car washing is not permitted inside the camping area. Dirty water from washing cars, motorhomes and caravans contains impurities such as metals, oil residues, chemicals and is harmful to people and the environment.
Drone
Within the camping area, it is not allowed to fly unauthorized drones as it can be considered disruptive and offensive.
Fireworks
Firecrackers/fireworks are prohibited within the camping area.
Reception/Shop/Information
There is a small shop inside our reception building where we offer a wide assortment of goods you may need during your stay here. During the summer freshly baked bread is available in the mornings and during the low season bread can be ordered in advance. You will also find a good range of basic groceries, snacks, ice cream and soft drinks. We sell souvenires, laundry tokens and also a small range of caravan and tent accessories.
Refuel by grabbing a ’Swedish fika’ at our café! Enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry, choose between sitting inside in our bright and open café section or take a seat on our terrace with a view over the campsite.
Camping Key Europe
Everyone staying with us must have a valid camping card which can be purchased at reception or online. The card offers a range of discounts and special offers in Sweden and Europe and even includes an accident insurance for the whole family. Bookingrules
Cancellation insurance
Through purchasing a cancellation insurance for 350 SEK the registration fee and the final payment will be refunded if the following occur:
- Death, illness or a serious accident have occurred to you, your spouse/partner, you/your partners parents, children, siblings or co-travlers.
- Another serious incident occur that is beyond your control, which you could not have foreseen when you made your reservation, resulting in it being unreasonable to require that you should abide to your reservation e.g. compromising fire or flooding to your home.
- If you are summoned to the army or civil defense.
- If you due to unemployment or a new employment are unable to proceed with your reservation.
You will have to confirm your impediment by providing us with documents, for example a medical certificate, authority certificate or proof an insurance claim. The document shall be forwarded to us within 14 days from the reservation date. Only then the rental amount will be refunded. The cancellation insurance also gives your the right to cancel an ongoing stay and to recover the amounts corresponding to the part of the lenght of stay you have not been able to use if any of the above points occur.
What if I want to cancel?
If you cancel your reservation you will not be reimbursed for the service fee, the registration fee or final payment. However, if you have purchased a cancellation insurance you will be fully reimbursed, excluding the insurance fee and service fee, according to the special conditions that apply (see point above). No refund will be done if you choose to interrupt your stay earlier than planned.
Other
By booking you allow us to send you newsletters by e-mail and you get the opportunity to participate in our guest survey via e-mail until you have unsubscribed to these.
Service fee
For all reservations via telephone or email a service fee of 135 SEK will be charged. If you book online or drop-in bookings the same day, no fee will be applied.
Internet
We offer complimentary Wi-Fi. All you need is a computer, tablet or smart phone set up for Wi-Fi. Log on with your email address and name.
Debit and credit cards
You are more than welcome to pay by debit and credit cards at the camping reception, all shops and cafés.
Cash
We only accept cash during summer in Swedish currency, SEK at café, rentals and the shop in the reception building.
Post
There is a yellow post box at the reception during the peak season. At other times you can leave your outgoing post at reception. Long-stay guests can have their newspapers sent on and collect them at reception.
