A visitor-friendly place, both in summer and winter

Klockardalsparken is located between Sjungande dalen and Eriksberg. In winter it is a popular destination for barbecues and sledding. The park has been renovated to become a pleasant and visitor-friendly place all year round. Completed in the summer of 2023.

Klockardalsparken is being improved as an important part of the development of the district together with the construction of more housing in the surrounding area of Eriksberg and Erikslid. Thanks to support from the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's "Green Cities" initiative, Skellefteå municipality has been able to invest a little extra in the park to make it more popular in both summer and winter.

  • An outdoor classroom that can be used by the municipality's schools and preschools.
  • An accessible parking lot for both cars and buses adjacent to the outdoor classroom.
  • An insect hotel (via the VARCITIES project).
  • Sensors that show whether the shelter is free and whether there are free car parking spaces.
  • Lighting at the sledding hill inspired by the northern lights.
  • Signs with information about the park and its importance for visitors.

The municipality is also developing a long-term plan to take care of and strengthen the biological values in the area.
