Bureå welcomes more
Bureå is located near the sea, close to the E4 highway, the airport and the future North Bothnia Line. This makes Bureå an obvious place to build a new travel center.
Bureå will grow a lot in the coming years, including around 2000 new homes. This means that the municipality is also planning to set aside land for more services, care and schools, as well as more housing, workplaces, streets, roads, recreational areas and meeting places.

Inom de närmsta tjugo åren förväntas befolkningen i Skellefteå kommun växa snabbt. Fler och fler platser runt om i kommunen upplever en ökad inflyttning och intresse för byggande redan nu, inte minst Bureå med omnejd. Den fördjupade översiktsplanen för Bureå ska ge möjlighet för 4000 nya invånare till år 2030.
