The Scandinavian College of Chiropractic is the Nordic region’s leading educational institution for chiropractic and is located on the Skellefteå Campus. Study at Campus Skellefteå

As a chiropractor, you help people lead lives with less pain and a higher quality of life. You play a vital role in the Swedish healthcare system and also contribute to preventive efforts aimed at reducing ill health. You’ll find the program in Building K on Campus Skellefteå, where the clinic is also located and works closely with the program.

Research and Collaboration

A unique research project on chronic back pain is underway at Campus Skellefteå. The study uses advanced motion capture technology to track patients’ movements with millimeter precision and analyzes how treatments affect changes in movement patterns. The project is led by Associate Professor Wim Grooten, together with doctoral student Fredrik Borg and Prof. Erika Franzén from the Karolinska Institute. Read more. External link.

The Swedish Chiropractic Association supports the university’s research through annual grants, which strengthens both education and clinical development in chiropractic. Read more. External link.

The university also has an active scientific council and engages doctoral students affiliated with the Karolinska Institute or other medical faculties.
