How to get here by car, bus, or bike
The Skellefteå Campus is located in the heart of northern Sweden, in Västerbotten—strategically situated between Umeå and Luleå and closely connected to the innovation and industrial regions of both Västerbotten and Norrbotten.

The area is located just a few minutes from downtown Skellefteå and offers excellent transportation links, including walking and biking paths, public transit, the E4 highway, and Skellefteå Airport, which is about a 20-minute drive away.
Visit us by car
If you’re coming by car from the E4, take the west exit at the E4 South roundabout, toward Sörböle and Sunnanå, and then take the first exit on the right.
If you’re coming from the west via Skråmträskvägen, drive toward the E4 and turn left off Skråmträskvägen about 100 meters before the E4 South roundabout.

Local transportation
Taking the bus is a climate-friendly way to get around the municipality.
Local bus lines 1 and 3 stop at the Campus stop on the E4.

Regional Transit
If you’re traveling south on regional transit, the Campus E4 stop is also the closest one. If you’re heading north, get off at Sörböle E4 and take a 5-minute walk from the E4 to the campus area.

Get around by bike
You can easily get to Campus Skellefteå by bike, no matter where you’re coming from. Sidewalks and bike paths basically take you right to the door from all directions. Signage is available on the major bike paths. Priority bike paths are often sanded and plowed early in the morning, even during the winter, making Skellefteå a bike-friendly city even in the winter.
In Skellefteå Municipality, there are approximately 248 kilometers of walking and cycling paths, and the municipality is responsible for about 187 kilometers. The main cycling network consists of both separate walking and cycling paths and streets where cycling takes place in mixed traffic.
The municipality is actively working to make cycling both safer and easier. Skellefteå aims to grow sustainably, with better air quality, better health, and a smaller climate impact, and therefore the prioritization of cyclists and pedestrians will continue.
