Access card

Anyone over the age of 18 can apply for an access card and thereby use the Campus Library during extended access every day from 6am to 10pm.

The access card is free of charge, but if you lose or damage it, you will need to pay 100 SEK via Swish for a new card.

If you already have a student card

Visit the Campus Helpdesk (second floor of the library) to sign the agreement and activate the card. This applies to university/college students, vocational students, as well as the general public, adult education, and Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) students.

If you do not have an access card - apply here

I am not a student but wish to get an access card

Your access card is valuable, and you are personally responsible for it. Every time you use the card, your visit is registered. At closing time, a security guard will make sure that everyone leaves the building. If you have an access card, you must follow the rules listed below:

  1. Keep your access card and password in a safe place.
  2. You must be able to show identification and your access card when requested.
  3. Never borrow your access card to anyone.
  4. Only use the areas and times included in Extended Access.
  5. When regular opening hours end, you must leave the library and log in again with your access card.
  6. Do not let other people into the building as it involves safety. Adults are allowed to bring children during visits.
  7. Register and borrow any material you take from the library.
  8. Do not disturb other visitors in the building.
  9. No food in the building.
  10. The building is alarmed, and you will be responsible for any unnecessary response costs.
  11. If you lose your access card, contact Campus Helpdesk immediately.
  12. Return the access card to Campus Helpdesk if you no longer want to use Extended Access.
  13. Crimes are reported to police.

Breaking the rules will result in suspension from Extended Access at all libraries in Skellefteå Municipality, as outlined below:

  • First time: 1-year suspension.
  • Second time: The card is canceled and you will not get a new one.

During Extended Access, staff may be in the library but are working on other tasks and cannot assist visitors. Personal service is available during staffed opening hours.

Extended access means that you can enter and use the library beyond regular opening hours, i.e. even when it is closed, with an access card. You can search for, borrow and return books in our machine. Note that there are no staff on site during these hours.

Important information

Remember to register your entry every time you enter the library during extended access. You must do this to ensure your safety and that of others. This is important so that we can continue to offer extended access. Do not let anyone else in, whether they have their own access card or not. All visits during extended access are registered.
