A clinical placement coordinator is responsible for creating the right conditions for students to complete their clinical training.

We welcome clinical placement supervisors and students and want to provide you with the best possible conditions for your assignment. Here you will find information and inspiration to complement what is provided by your university and academic department.

The work-based training (VFU) program fosters the interplay between theory and practice, reinforces the program’s professional focus, and links theoretical coursework to practical work. This collaboration is governed by the VFU agreement.

VFU Supervisor

During VFU, students are given the opportunity to practice and develop their skills in their field, where the supervisor is responsible for guiding and supporting the student so that they can develop knowledge and skills related to all expected learning outcomes included in the syllabi for the relevant VFU periods.

For those interested in becoming a supervisor, supervisor training programs are available through universities in the form of standalone courses.

VFU Student

If you choose a work-based education program (VFU), during these periods you will learn about the workplace and what the profession entails, and you will have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge and develop your ability to plan, implement, and evaluate teaching with the support of a VFU supervisor. You are welcome to take advantage of other services and opportunities offered on campus.

The choice of municipality for your VFU placement is made at the beginning of your program and remains in effect unless you request a different municipality. Whenever possible, you will be placed in your preferred municipality; if this is not feasible, the program provider will discuss placement in another municipality with you.
