Under the name Smartup Skellefteå, several business and innovation promotion actors collaborate to jointly support you who want to explore new ideas, start or grow your business. You get inspiration and knowledge, coaching, tools and contacts to be able to develop, verify, finance or scale business ideas and innovations in a smarter way.
Many of Smartup's activities take place in The Great Northern, Skellefteå's co-working house and innovation hub that brings together many startups, incubators and events for entrepreneurs. There are also office spaces to rent if you want to develop in a creative environment with other entrepreneurs.

The Adopticum Foundation is an organization with expertise in optical measurement technology; both sensor technology and software development for optical measurement systems. The organization helps companies to develop products and services based on optical measurement technology and can assist in seeking funding for development projects.
Almi Nord offers loans and business development to companies that want to develop and grow. They address both new and innovative ideas and established companies with growth ambitions.
Arctic Business offers business development, capital supply and networking with the aim of creating fast-growing and profitable companies that can operate in an international market. In their accelerator program, you can improve your business idea and start planning for growth. In the incubator program, you get help with financing, building teams and getting into the market.
Coompanion offers knowledge and free advice on financing and developing cooperative enterprises, social entrepreneurship and social innovations.
Go Business is an incubator for those who have started businesses in the creative and cultural fields or other parts of the service sector. In the free programs, you become part of a community and get inspiration and tools to develop your ideas, your brand and yourself as an entrepreneur.
IUC Norr helps small and medium-sized industrial and industry-related companies to develop and move to the desired location. The tools include growth analyses, skills development initiatives and cluster building.
LTU Business innovation advisors provide free coaching and help you test an idea at an early stage to explore the market potential.
The Nyföretagarcentrum provides free and confidential advice to those who want to start their own business. You can get help with a business plan and questions about budgets, marketing and sales.

Innovation + supports companies and individuals with innovations for health and social care. It connects healthcare professionals, patients, companies and researchers and creates the conditions for developing, testing and selling new products and services.
Skellefteå Science City runs projects that support innovation processes in various forms and enable collaboration between different industries. They develop clusters in cleantech, energy and the gaming industry and also run The Great Northern.
T2 training for skills trains tomorrow's employees in the engineering, carpentry, sawmill and plastics industries, but also offers collaborations, workshops, courses and trainings that strengthen the skills and competitiveness of both new and established companies.
Unboxx Business Lab is run by experienced entrepreneurs. By starting from each company's specific needs, programs are tailored to create the conditions to best test innovations/business ideas on the market. They want the innovator to focus on what they do best and they take care of the rest. Together with their network, they inject SEK 1,000,000-10,000,000 into each incubator company.
UF helps young people in Skellefteå to develop a business idea and test life as an entrepreneur. They also inspire through conferences, lectures and teaching materials.
