Linda Dehlin becomes new head of health and social care in Skellefteå
Linda Dehlin will be the new Head of Department for Health and Social Care in Skellefteå Municipality. "I am extremely happy and proud to be entrusted with this position. I am also very humbled by the difficulties and challenges that both I and the organisation face," she says.
Linda Dehlin is a trained social worker and has worked in Skellefteå municipality for 25 years. For the past five years, she has been head of operations for care and nursing homes, and before that she worked as a home care manager.
She is already a member of the department's management team, and is therefore well aware of the challenges and needs that exist.

- We are in a new and changed situation in terms of skills and recruitment. This means that we have to find new ways of acting to ensure safe and secure care for those we serve and to be able to offer a good working environment for all our employees," says Linda Dehlin.
Differentiating tasks, offering other forms of employment and listening to employees' experiences and wishes is some of the work that is underway and that Linda Dehlin wants to continue to develop.
- Our employees are the most important people in the organisation. The rest of us must create the conditions and make wise decisions, always with an eye on the patients and the employees who work closest to them.
Linda Dehlin succeeds Ejja Häman Aktell and will take up the post on 1 March 2023. For the first time, they will work in parallel.
