How to tie a knot
The knot is the weakest link between fishermen and bait and is often the cause of lost fish and bait. In other words, it's super important that the knot is as strong as possible. Here you can learn two basic fishing knots.
It is also important when tying to wet the knot with saliva before tightening it - otherwise the friction caused by pulling the ropes together can weaken the rope and make it break more easily.
Improved bait knot - when you need to attach something to the line
The improved bait knot is one of the most commonly used fishing knots and is a good knot to tie, for example, a bait hook, spawning or steel leader to the end of the line.

Surgical knot - when you need to join two lines
The surgeon's knot is a fishing knot that is easy to tie and is useful for splicing two lines together, for example, if you want to have a leader at the end with a slightly thinner dimension.
- Lay the new leader so that the end overlaps/is parallel to the existing line tip.
- Tie a knot as if it was just one line but do not tighten.
- Go through the loop twice more. Finish by wetting with saliva and slowly tighten the knot.
