Sweden's largest art salon Bothnia Salongen is a collaboration between two counties and five locations that takes place every five years and has grown bigger for 2024. Together, we want to create interesting exhibitions that aim to highlight artistry with a connection to the northern regions.

For the jury-judged art salon, two jury groups, one for Norrbotten and one for Västerbotten, have made the selection and distributed accepted contributions between each county's exhibition sites. On behalf of Västerbotten, a jury consisting of artist Lovisa Ringborg, project manager and assistant manager at Färgfabriken Karin Englund and process manager at Färgfabriken Daniel Urey has made their selection.
376 artists applied to Västerbotten. 21 were admitted to the Skellefteå art gallery and 60 to the Västerbotten museum. Participating artists in Skellefteå are Peter Andersson, Alexandra Boman, Christina Brattsand Carlsson, Snöfrid Caldeborg, Anders Granberg, Sara Forsström, Anna Hedström, Leif Å Larsson, Rebecka Littbrand, Emma Ljungberg, Johanna Löfberg, Karin Nordgren, Daniel Sandling, Tor Sandén, Mimmi Strandkvist, Jögge Sundqvist, Liselotte Wajstedt, Malin Wikström, Sara Zetterlund, Gunilla Åsberg, Malin Östberg.
