Paying for parking

Skellefteå Municipality has 2,200 parking spaces in the town centre, 370 of which are in parking garages. There are several ways to pay for parking in municipal parking spaces in Skellefteå.

From March 1, 2024, there are two different parking apps that apply to municipal parking, ePark and Parkster. They are easy to download and get started with.

If you park via the apps, you should be able to park cost-neutrally, i.e. it should not cost you more than the cost of parking itself. However, the apps offer various additional services that may involve an extra charge on top of the parking cost. If you have checked something that involves an additional cost and do not know how to remove it, you can contact the app's customer service, you will find contact details further down on this the page.

If pay and display machines are out of order

If a pay and display machine is out of order, walk to the nearest alternative machine to buy a ticket, or pay using your mobile phone. Check that the other pay and display machine is valid for the same zone as the one you are parked in. You cannot park free of charge because a pay an display machine is out of order.
