Byske sea baths

Byske camping has a long and fine sandy beach that is shallow. There is a 150 meter long floating jetty that is good for wheelchairs. For people with impaired vision, there is a rope along the right edge of the jetty. Toilet and changing facilities are available at Café Byscaya.

Bada i byske

There are many opportunities for swimming and summer activities at the five-star Byske Havsbad. At the outdoor pool in the sea, there is a long floating dock designed to be able to drive a wheelchair on it.

The jetty is 150 meters long and very stable. For visually impaired people, there is a rope along the right edge of the jetty, making it easy to find your way around.

There is:

  • One accessible water toilet and two water toilets near the bathing jetty. To get to the toilets you need to cross an area of grass and packed earth.
  • Bathing wheelchair - If you use a wheelchair and want to get into the water, you can borrow a bathing wheelchair for free. It can be rolled in the sand but requires someone to push it. The wheelchair can be borrowed at the kiosk rental.
  • Byske havsbad has a restaurant, café and kiosk that are open during the summer season.

Parking is only permitted in designated parking spaces. You are not allowed to park along the road by the swimming pool. This is because the emergency services must be able to arrive quickly in the event of an accident.

You can take the regional bus to Byske. The nearest stop is Ringvägen and from there it is about 1 km walk to the sea bath. From Skellefteå it takes about 45 minutes by bus.

How to get here

Drive E4 south and turn into Bureå after Norra Kustvägen. Turn off Norra Kustvägen to Skärvägen and follow Bureälven to Disponentvägen. From Disponentvägen, take Skepparvägen and follow it all the way to the sea. You can follow the signs from Bureå to Bureå havsbad.
