Bureå travel center
Skellefteå municipality is planning a new travel center in Bureå. It will be situated next to the North Bothnia Line and the train station in Bureå.
Bureå’s new travel centre is planned on the north side of the Bure River and west of the E4, just over a kilometre north-west of central Bureå. A key focus in the planning is that the travel centre should feel welcoming, safe, inclusive and unique.
The aim for the Bureå Travel Centre is to link the rail services provided by the North Botnia Line with bus services, car traffic, walking, cycling and taxis. Detailed studies of the travel centre area are currently underway.
Contractor
Skellefteå municipality is planning the travel centre in close collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration and in cooperation with Länstrafiken and Skellefteå Buss. In some focus issues, others are included in the work, such as The Police Department, The Department for Emergency and Rescue Services, FRIS and accessibility associations.

Busstation Kanalgatan
Skellefteå kommun planerar för en ny och tillfällig placering av busstationen för regionbusstrafik i Skellefteå. Inriktningen är att busstationen placeras längs Kanalgatan, mellan Sara kulturhus och Balderskolan.

Lasarettspassagen
Vid nuvarande Lasarettsvägen planeras ett 12 meter brett, nytt gång- och cykelstråk som sammanbinder Skellefteå sjukhus med resecentrum och centrum. Det nya stråket möjliggör trygg passage under både järnvägen och väg 95 och utgör en central del i Skellefteås omvandling mot en mer sammanhållen, hållbar och urban struktur.

Karlgårdsbron
En 400 meter lång träbro byggs i Skellefteå. Bron är viktig för att få till ett bättre och mer hållbart trafikflöde i centrala Skellefteå. Klart hösten 2027.

Bockholmsvägen
En ny gång- och cykelbana byggs längs med Bockholmsvägen vid Campus Skellefteå, över Parkbron och via Stationsgatan för att sedan ansluta till ett nytt resecentrum i norr. Bygget kommer att stå klart under 2027.

Ny dragning av E4
Östra leden är utsedd som den nya dragningen av E4. Den nya E4 kommer att gå via Östra leden i norr, över Skellefteälven och via Hedensbyn på södra sidan av älven. Planerad byggstart under 2031.
